Welcome to the London Road Badminton Club website.
Our club night is Friday night starting at 8.00pm and finishing at 10.00pm. We play at the SCAT college sports hall on London Road, Shrewsbury. We like to think that we enjoy a friendly relaxed clubnight atmosphere with a strong social bias and none of the elitism found in some other clubs.
Our club is affiliated with Badminton England and also the SCBA (Shropshire County Badminton Association). This means that members are insured whilst on court and participate in the county leagues.
Visitors are welcome but we do need prior notice, so please ring me, Tony Edwards, on 01743 233665 or Email me (click here). Visitors are asked to pay a fee of £4.00 for seniors and £3.00 for juniors.
Everyone, including visitors, are encouraged to join us after club to enjoy good food (at only 50p per head), good drink and great conversation at a local pub.
NOTE: As from September 1st we have adopted the new 'Rally Points' scoring system on club nights.
